Earthbag House Plan Set - One Bedroom Meditation Retreat

A compact earthbag retreat designed around quiet, ritual and connection to landscape.

Meditation Retreat is the first design in the Solarpunk Architecture Earthbag House series: a small concept dwelling composed of rounded earthen volumes connected by a sheltered central passage and a curved outdoor patio. The plan separates everyday rest from contemplative space, pairing a generous circular bedroom and bathroom suite with a dedicated meditation room set apart in its own compact dome.

Design highlights

The retreat is organized around three rounded spaces and a fluid patio. The main suite includes a 12.60 m² bedroom with platform bed, a 6.20 m² bathroom with built-in bathtub, closet and technical space, while a separate 3.14 m² meditation room creates a more intimate place for silence and retreat. The drawings also explore a rooftop terrace, skylight and open-sky meditation volume, built-in planter, sitting bench and sculptural circulation between the domed forms.

Designed for

Architects, designers, students, natural-building enthusiasts and self-builders looking for inspiration around earthbag and earthen architecture.
